Team Canada Women's Team and University of Georgia Head Coach Tom Black joined the show to talk about his playing and coaching career. Tom played at UC San Diego where he was a four-year letter winner, Volleyball Magazine’s Small College Player of the Year and Small College All-American. Tom has coached for several programs including being an Assistant for the USC Men's Program, Head Coach of the UC San Diego women’s team, Head coach for indoor and beach at LMU, and assistant coach with the USA Women's National Team that earned a bronze medal at the 2016 Olympic Games.

The Jason Lochhead Show EP.117

New Zealand Star Jason Lochhead joins the show to share his playing career, coaching career, golf game, and lots of great stories from the road. 
Jason played 116 FIVB events, earning 78 main draw results and 11 top 10 finishes. Jason and partner Kirk Pitman narrowly missed the Olympics as players before joining the coaching ranks and working with top teams from around the world. Jason started his coaching career with Vanuatu, before leading super best friend of the show Ben Saxton and Chaim Schalk to their best results as a team. Jason then joined one of the best teams in the world Phil Dalhausser and Nick Lucena. Jason still works with Phil and Nick while also coaching with Florida State.

Fred joined our National Team in 2003 when he was entering his senior season at Pepperdine University, playing for the Waves and legend Marv Dunphy. During his career Fred included a lot including earning the captaincy with Team Canada, 2016 Olympian, 2x Champion of Brazil, 2x Champion of China, German Champion, Italian Champion, and Austrian Champion.

The Matt Harris Show EP.114

Ryerson Rams Head Coach Matt Harris joins the show! Matt has been with Ryerson since 2012 when he joined the women’s program as an assistant before joining the men’s team in 2015-16 and taking over the head coach role in 2018.
Matt has a lot of coaching experience including but not limited to Glebe where he won an OFSAA Championship, Ottawa Kangaroos, National Capitals, Ottawa Fusion, Aurora Storm, Titans, and Pakmen. Team Ontario men’s program at National Team Challenge Cup, Canada Cup, USA HP, Canada Summer Games. Matt has also worked with Volleyball Canada with the Youth National Team and Senior B team.

The Gavin Schmitt Show EP.113

Superstar Gavin Schmitt joined the show to talk about his career that includes being approached at his part time job in high school to joining the National Team a few years later. Gavin is a CCAA National Champion with Red Deer College, he won league championships in Korea, Turkey, Greece, Brazil, and won several MPV, best opposite & best scorer awards. He is also a big reason why Canada qualified for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio where the squad earned a 5th place finish. We cover all of this any more!

The Bryan Fraser Show EP.112

Bryan Fraser is currently the head coach of the College of the Rockies Avalanche women's volleyball team. Bryan started coaching during his playing career when he had opportunities with his pro club in Holland and with the Saskatchewan Provincial Team Program. 
As a player Bryan played for University of Saskatchewan Huskies for five years, Canada's Junior National Team and after graduation Bryan went to the Volleyball Canada full-time training centre. FTC helped Bryan prepare to represent Canada with our National B Team and play pro in Germany twice, Holland and France.
