We ran into Maverick Hatch during the Beach Canada Cup in Edmonton, he was gracious enough to sit down with us and discuss his journey to the national team, his pro career, transitioning to his career, married life, and what programs he is currently coaching. Mav shared some great stories from on and off the court, can't wait to have him on again when Dallas can join and add that dry cool wit.

Mart Tiisaar & Kusti Nolvak from Estonia took time out of their busy schedules at the Edmonton 3 Star to sit down with us and share how they compete on the World Tour without technically having a National Federation for Beach, why they went to the beach after playing indoor pro, who they train with, and lots of other fun facts!
After this episode you will be a super fan of Estonia Beach because they are genuinely great guys who have found a way to compete at the highest level without any support when they started. They have funded their own careers for 4 years and have now started funding other players from Estonia so they can train and compete on the World Tour.

Ryerson Ram and Madawaska Madness member Joel Hannan joins the show this week! He has a unique path to high level volleyball. Growing up as a hockey player, Joel started playing rec tournaments in first year university and was hooked. Now a masters student Joel is a varsity athlete for the Ryerson Rams. We cover his path, OUA Volleyball, Beach, and his Masters studies on athletes and thier career paths.

Beach National Team Member MC Lapointe joins us at the Passin Dimes studio this week. MC and partner Amanda Harnett won Canada's bid to represent us at the 2019 Pan Am games in Peru later this month. On this episode we cover the path to Pan AM with MC, as well as, her early beginnings into volleyball in Quebec, Cegep/CIS, how she tried out for the beach national team, and some great stories from the road.

Two guests are better than one! This week Liam Kopp and Chris Towe stopped by the Passin Dimes studio to share some great stories from the road, a lot of laughs and how they've reached the top level of our sport!
Chris and Liam grew up in one of the best generations with 5 of the 13 members of Team Canada Beach Next Gen Program coming from the same circle of friends. Jake MacNeil, Will Hoey, Gabe Burlacu, Liam Kopp, Sergey Grabovskyy and Chris Towe grew up playing with and against each other on the OVA Beach Tour.

Shaun and Dave from the Beach Volleyball Academy in Port Stanley, ON joined Passin Dimes while they were at the OVA Grand Slam. Shaun and Dave have built an amazing beach program in Southwestern Ontario that has introduced hundreds of athletes to beach volleyball. Their energy and love for the sport is obvious every session they host in Port Stanley!
Shaun and Dave passion for the sport has also lead them to host a Play with the Pros and Parents/Child Tournament. These two love the sport and are a huge part of the sport's growth in Ontario!

We are very lucky to have international superstar Brandie Wilkerson join the show this week! Brandie and partner Heather Bansley are a top ranked team on the FIVB World Tour. Brandie took us down the path of how she started playing, her playing career at York University, and what got her into beach. We also learn about how she dominates internationally as a vegetarian.

Wesley Kwong joins the show to give us an in depth look at 9man Volleyball. He gives us a great history lesson and shares all the details that make the community so great. Even if you've never seen 9man this episode is for you!
Wesley is a 16 year vet of the sport with Ngun Lam Volleyball. He's seen it all from winning the Canada Day, New York Mini, being a finalist at the Major, and a mentor/ambassador for the sport. Josh was lucky enough to coach at Ngun Lam and meet amazing people like Wes who truly care about the sport and culture within it.

Lucky Number 13! This week we are joined by power couple Anna Dunn-Suen & Roland Bouchard. They educated us on their beach seasons, being a student athlete, Usports, volleyball power couples, and how they met.

Canadian Beach Superstar Aaron Nusbaum joins the show! Aaron has represented Canada at the Youth Worlds where he medalled twice, Norceca Tour also medalled twice including a tournament win in 2018, Gold Medalist at the Maccabiah Games, World Championships, and is in the running to be nominated to represent Canada at the 2019 Pan Am Games in Peru.
Aaron is also an owner of One Volleyball Premier League The Magnes Spartans! Catch Aaron's team in action every week this June and July around the GTA and hopefully in Edmonton this July for the One Volleyball Canada Cup!
