Olympian, Superstar, and Super Friend of the show Ben Saxton makes his debut on Passin Dimes! He goes into detail on his volleyball family, CIS Championships, and playing over 15 years and 130 events for Canada on the beach!
We also cover Ben's two businesses he started to grow volleyball on the west coast. The West Coast Beach Volleyball Society (https://www.wecobevo.com/) is an organization created to raise funds not only to develop an elite athlete environment for Western Canadians beach athletes to train and thrive on the West Coast, but also in community spirit, we are donating a percentage of all our funds raised to KidSport.
His second project is The National Beach Volleyball League (https://nbvl.ca/) The NBVL’s mission is to cultivate a professional environment for both men’s and women’s Beach Volleyball in Canada through the development of professional leagues in major cities.

Marc Wilson joins the show fresh off his new contract to play in Czechia next year. Marc takes us on a journey from club with the Waterloo Tigers, University of Guelph, Team Canada and Pro in France and Czech. More importantly Marc is newly engaged, big congratulations to Marc and his fiance! We also go off the board to learn about Marc's first drink of alcohol and how he was a world ranked gamer! Canadian Superstar Autumn Bailey made time for us before training to talk her journey to the National Team through high school, club, the NCAA and Pro. We also get into the transfer process from Marquette to Michigan State (GO GREEN!) Autumn shares advice on how she recovered from injury and had a big bounce back season after a rough first weekend back.

How lucky are we?! Jesse Elser was at Volleyball Canada Youth Nationals supporting his brother Aaron before he headed to Gatineau for Team Canada tryouts. He was gracious enough to take the time to appear on the show. He shared the details on his journey to the national team, including moving away from home in grade 12 to train full time with the FTC group. We also discuss how he returned from from injury, the Trinity Western culture, and so much more! Erik Mattson joins Passin Dimes this week to discuss his amazing career, fashion advice and what he's up to now. Thanks to the wonderful staff at Volleyball Canada, Josh and Dallas were able to record a few guests at Indoor Youth Nationals in Toronto. We were so lucky to run into Erik Mattson who was there coaching his 16U team. For anyone not familiar with Erik he was a key member of possibly the best club team ever Toronto Blues. Went on to win a National Championship with the Alberta Golden Bears. From there he spent 4 years over seas playing professionally. Now Erik is giving back by coaching and will return to Alberta this fall to further his education and coach some kids. Becky Pavan joins the show! She shares all the details about being recruited to the NCAA and what her poor mailman went through, what it was like playing for both the indoor and beach National teams for Canada, and the joy and pressure of playing pro (especially in Poland). Josh and Dallas also cover the NCAA Beach Volleyball Championships and Men's Indoor Championships. Dallas doesn't like the dual system because it doesn't showcase his skills as an individual... Canada hosted our World Championships Trials! Hear about who's in and what the countdown to May 6th means to our men's teams.
